Hello. I’m Linda Walker a “serial entrepreneur”, experienced Trainer and Speaker, and Business and Life Coach with expertise and specialised training in Attention Deficit Disorder. This training allows me to help my, mostly entrepreneur, clients. A 2001 study that profiled “serial entrepreneurs” found that 50% of them either had been diagnosed with ADHD as adults, as children or have many of the traits of Attention Deficit Disorder.
Besides this specialised training, I bring a lot of practical knowledge and experience, having also “played the entrepreneur game” and am still playing it in my own business and by helping my clients to launch, build and grow their businesses. I also help clients who have that entrepreneurial spirit but prefer to work for other companies to manage their productivity in the workplace.
Believing that there is more to life than working, I also help my clients gain balance in their lives by helping them manage their relationships, their time, their finances, their own interests, their spiritual self as well.
In my business and life coaching practice, I coach adults with Attention Deficit Disorder helping them understand and manage ADHD in every other aspect of their lives, such as their workplace or businesses, their relationships, finances, spiritual selves, etc. While my clients often have important challenges, when they identify their talents, strengths, and interest and develop them, their amazing out-of-the-box creativity, their energy, and passion flourish. I help them achieve this so that they can breakthrough the glass ceiling of ADHD and reach their full potential.
To my business and life coaching practice I bring passion, integrity, intuition, empathy, creativity and practicality, and all my coaching, life and business skills and experiences. I bring my rich experience with ADHD as daughter, wife, mother and aunt of ADHDers. While I don’t have ADHD, I do exhibit many ADHD traits.
To my entrepreneur clients I provide 20 years of varied business experience including 4 start-ups, business trainer and consultant, successful sales representative, and project manager and business analyst spearheading an enterprise-wide CRM project and major change management initiative.
I’m very grateful for the opportunities and experiences I’ve had, but even more, for the challenges. It hasn’t always been easy, but I have learned most from difficult situations. I am also grateful for finding my “calling”. I now do what I truly love.
As a trainer, I understand that adults are already whole and capable people with rich life experiences. We tap into these experiences by providing highly interactive training that allows them to use their strengths and interest and how their brains work to create strategies that maximize their efficiency at work, manage their finances, and improve their organizational skills to bring out the best in themselves. Finally, I am a very strong advocate of diversity in the workplace, especially with regards to adults with ADHD, and believe that the more we understand about ADHD the better we can help these talented adults to thrive
As a speaker, I have a strong message that adults with ADHD have a lot to offer the world when organisations gain an understanding about how they work and put in place reasonable accommodations and training to allow them to overcome the challenges of ADHD and use their talents and passion as springboards to success.
Personally, I’ve been married for 23 years to my soul mate, Duane, an ambitious and passionate ADHDer . Together we are the proud parents of two wonderful young women. Our youngest daughter has ADHD and learning disabilities. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing guitar, biking, and gardening.
